De huidige generatie digitale informatiedragers zal langzaam maar zeker uit de gratie raken, want niet duurzaam genoeg en met een beperkte opslagcapaciteit. Maar opslaan in DNA komt eraan. Hoewel de eerste toepassingen veelbelovend zijn, moeten er nog wel wat obstakels overwonnen worden.
