This webinar presents the preservation workflow practices of one of the largest archives in the world: the Library of Congress. Focusing on the Library of Congress’ National Audio Visual Conservation Center, this webinar discusses the workflow challenges faced while digitising and preserving more than 6 million audiovisual items.

James Snyder is a digital media engineering, production & project management specialist. His more than 30-year work experience ranges from traditional analogue to cutting edge digital data, audio and video technologies. James currently serves as the Senior Systems Administrator for the Library of Congress’ National Audio Visual Conservation Center. He is responsible for all the audio, video and film preservation and digitisation technologies, including long-term planning, technology services to the United States Congress and Capitol Hill, as well as standards participation and interaction with media content producers.
